At Dalton K9 Academy, we believe better-behaved dogs start with better-informed owners. Our job isn't simply to train your dog for you — it's to help you understand them, communicate more clearly and build a relationship that works in everyday life.
Every dog is different, which means training should be too. We look at the dog in front of us — their breed, temperament, experiences, motivations and the things they're finding difficult — and build our training around what they actually need.
Whether you're navigating puppyhood, struggling with reactivity, wanting more confidence off lead or simply wishing everyday life with your dog felt a little easier, we'll work alongside you with practical training, honest advice and plenty of support.

Brogan Price-Dalton
Founder & Head Trainer
My journey into dog training began with Simba — our big-hearted German Shepherd rescue who struggled with reactivity. Helping him find his confidence sparked a passion that I've never looked back from.
Over the years, I've been fortunate to learn from some exceptional trainers who share my belief in kind, fair and effective training. Their guidance helped shape not just my skills, but the way I think about and work with dogs.
For me, training has never been solely about obedience. It's about building trust, boosting confidence and learning to truly understand what your dog is telling you. I work with pet dogs of all breeds and backgrounds.
Our pack is now made up of four — Simba is who will come to work with me to help as my stooge dog. Fifi is my sassy, sharp working-line German Shepherd, she's a little love bug, but definitly keeps me on my toes. then we have the baby; Dunc, our black male German Shepherd, he is my sport dog, full of power and drive, but also just a mummies boy. finally, the OG Radley, the pug cross I had in my teens who is still going strong and rules the house at nearly 15 years old.
My Approach
My training style consists of reward, motivation, clear communication and fair boundaries to help dogs understand what we are asking from them — I enjoy teaching owners how to communicate effectively with their dogs. A solid relationship between owner and dog is vital and I love to be a part of building that, and I believe in being honest about what's realistic and focusing on progress over perfection.
